Nancy M. Koenig is a federal magistrate judge for the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas. She has worked in this position since 1998.[1]
Biography and Education
Judge Koenig was born in 1951. She received her B.A. degree from the University of Texas at Austin in 1972 and her M.A. degree from the same school in 1975. She then attended Texas Tech University School of Law at Lubbock, where she received her J.D. degree in 1982.[1]
Career
Judge Koenig began her career in 1982 as a law clerk for U.S. District Judge Halbert Woodward of the Northern District of Texas. The next year, she worked as Assistant General Counsel for the State Bar of Texas. She then briefly returned to his clerking job in 1984 before becoming an Assistant U.S. Attorney. She worked in this position in the Lubbock Office of the Northern District of Texas from 1984 to 1998. She then became a magistrate judge on this court.[1]
