Nancy S. Fahey is a judge of the Fifth Circuit of Illinois. She was elected on Nov. 7, 2006 and was sworn in to office on Dec. 4 of that year. She replaced her husband, retired Judge Thomas Fahey. She was retained in 2012 for a term that expires in 2018.
Fahey began her career as a private practice attorney in 1988. In 1991, she joined the firm of Dukes, Ryan, Meyer, Fahey, Freed and Goodwin Ltd. She became a partner of that firm in 1994. She has also worked as a guardian ad litem; an attorney for the Vermilion County Housing Authority; and an attorney for the towns of Danville and Georgetown and the villages of Fairmount, Sidell and Belgium. In 2006, she joined the circuit court.
