Nancy A. Vecchiarelli is a federal magistrate judge for the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio. She was appointed to this position in April of 1998.[1]
Education
Judge Vecchiarelli received her A.B. degree from Miami University in 1972 and her J.D. degree from the University of Cincinnati in 1977.[1]
Career
Judge Vecchiarelli began her career in 1977 as a law clerk to Judge Thomas Parrino of the Ohio Eighth District Court of Appeals. She then joined the law firm Hahn, Loeser & Parks in 1979. In 1986, she became an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Civil Division of the Northern District of Ohio. She worked in this position as a Computer and Violent Crimes Coordinator until 1987, when she was assigned to the Criminal Division - General Crimes Unit. She became a magistrate judge the following year.[1]
