Nelson J. Goodin was a judge for Division 3 of the New Mexico Third Judicial District Court. He was appointed to the court by Governor Susana Martinez in April 2012, after filing for the seat in that year's judicial election. [1] He lost his bid for election to the court on November 6, 2012.[2]
Education
Goodin received his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University and his J.D. from the California Western School of Law. He also has a LL.M. in Taxation from the University of San Diego School of Law. [3]
Career
Prior to his appointment, Goodin served as chief legal counsel for the New Mexico Taxation and Revenue Department. Before that, he was a Deputy District Attorney for the Third Judicial District. [3]
