Ogden Hoffman

Ogden Hoffman (1822-1891) was a federal judge on the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.

He was nominated by President Millard Fillmore on February 1, 1851. He was confirmed by the Senate on February 27, 1851, and received commission that same day. He served on this court until July 23, 1866.

He was assigned to the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California on August 31, 1852 and he served here until January 18, 1854.

He was reassigned on July 23, 1866 to the U.S. District Court for the District of California.

He was reassigned again on August 5, 1886 to the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California. He served until his death on August 9, 1891.
