Patricia Ann Blackmon is a judge on the Ohio Eighth District Court of Appeals. She was elected to this position in 1996 (effective in early 1997) and was re-elected to 6-year terms in November of 2002 and 2008. Her current term expires on February 10, 2015 and she will be up for re-election again in 2014. [1][2][3]

Education

Justice Blackmon received her bachelor's degree in African-American Studies, Political Science and History from Tougaloo College. She went on to receive her law degree from the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law in 1975.[3]

Legal career

Before joining the Court of Appeals in 1996, Justice Blackmon worked as a Cleveland Chief Prosecutor. She also worked as a Professor and an Assistant Director of the Victims/Witness Program at Dyke College.[3]
