Paul L. Abrams is a federal magistrate judge for the United States District Court for the Central District of California. He was appointed to this position on January 14, 2002.[1]

Education

Judge Abrams received his B.A. degree from the University of California at Berkeley in 1979 and his J.D. degree from the University of California, Boalt Hall School of Law in 1983.[1]

Career

Judge Abrams began his career in 1983 as a litigation associate with the firm Jeffer, Mangels, Butler and Marmaro. From 1985 to 1987, he was the Director of the San Fernando Valley Office of Bet Tzedek Legal Services. He then worked as a Deputy Federal Public Defender for the Central District of California through 2001. He has served as a magistrate judge since the beginning of 2002.[1]
