Paul R. Haerle is a judge on the First District, Second Division of the California Courts of Appeal. Haerle was appointed to the court by Governor Wilson; confirmed August 8, 1994 and retained by the voters to a 12-year term November 8, 1994, and again in 2006. His current term will expire in January 7, 2019.[1]
Education
Justice Haerle received his A.B. from Yale University in 1953 and his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School 1956. [2]
Legal career
From 1956-1964, Haerle was with the law firm Thelen, Marrin, Johnson & Bridges. From 1967-1969 he served as Appointments Secretary to then-Governor Ronald Reagan. From 1965-1967 and 1969-1994, Justice Haerle was a Partner with Thelen, Marrin, Johnson & Bridges in San Francisco, California. [2]
