Paul Maughan is a Utah Third Judicial District associate presiding judge for Salt Lake County, Utah for the Salt Lake City District Court.[1] Judge Maughan was first appointed to this position in December 1998.[2]

Biography

Maughan received his JD from the University of Utah College of Law in 1974. He worked as an associate of the firm of Bradley, Arrowsmith & Jackson and as assistant city attorney for Salt Lake City. He then worked as deputy district attorney for Salt Lake County, assigned to the civil division. Maughan was appointed to the Third District Court by Governor Michael O. Leavitt in December of 1998. He has served in that position since.[2]
