Paula Francisco Ott is a judge on the Pennsylvania Superior Court. She was elected on November 3, 2009, effective the following January. Her 10-year term will expire in December 2019.[1][2]
Education
Ott received her undergraduate degree from the University of Delaware in 1972 and her J.D. and Masters of Law from Temple University in 1975 and 1981, respectively. [2]
Legal career
Prior to her election to the Superior Court, Ott was the President Judge of for the Chester County Court of Common Pleas. She was elected to this court in 1991 and retained in 2001. She became the President Judge in 2005.[3][4]

Ott was elected to one of four open seats on the Pennsylvania Superior Court in 2009. Because the seat that she ran for was not vacated in time for her to participate in the primary elections, Ott was placed directly on the ballot by the state Republican Party. [5] She won 12.7% of the vote in the November general election. [1]
