Penney Luhrs ran for an open seat on the Pike County Magisterial County. She was defeated by Debi Fischer in both parties' primaries on May 17. She received 16.6% in the Democratic primary and 15.7% of the vote in the Republican primary. [1] All candidates running for the seat were cross-endorsed by the Republican and Democratic parties.[2]
Luhrs has received notification that she is certified to perform the duties of a Magisterial District Judge.[2]
