Peter Jon Maassen is the Alaska Supreme Court’s 22nd justice.[1] He was appointed by Governor Sean Parnell on August 9, 2012, after Justice Morgan Christen left to take a spot on the Ninth Circuit.[2][3] Maassen will be up for his first retention in 2016.

Education

Maassen earned his B.A. from Hope College in 1977 and his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School in 1980.[4][5]
