Raymond Ikola

Raymond J. Ikola is a judge on the Fourth District, Third Division of the California Courts of Appeal. He was appointed by Governor Davis in December 2002 and confirmed on January 10, 2003.[1]

Biography

Raymond Ikola grew up in Michigan. He graduated from the University of Michigan with a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering in 1962. He received his master's the next year. He worked at the David Sarnoff Research Center for RCA Laboratories until 1971. During this time, he continued his education at Polytechnic University and earned his Ph.D. in electrophysics in 1972. He then decided to study law at the University of California, Hastings College of Law. He graduated from there in 1974. He is currently married with two children and five grandchildren.[1]

Legal career

After completing law school, Raymond Ikola practiced civil business litigation in Orange County until 1995 for various firms such as Wenke, Evans & Ikola, Hufstedler, Kaus & Beardsley, and Snell & Wilmer LLP. He was appointed to the Orange County Superior Court in November 1995, where he served until his appointment to the Court of Appeal.[1][2]
