Rebecca Ruffner is a member of the Arizona Commission on Appellate Court Appointments. By law, members of the commission must be split between the political parties, and Ruffner is one of the Democratic members.

Ruffner works as a child and family advocate, and is the chair of the Healthy Families Arizona Steering Committee. She also serves on the committee responsible for updating the Arizona plan for child abuse prevention.
