Richard Aronson (b.1950) is a judge on the Fourth District of the California Courts of Appeal.
Legal career
Justice Aronson's began his legal career in 1976 as Aronsonserved as a deputy district attorney for San Bernardino County until 1979. While as a District Attorney his duties were focused on major felony prosecutions, including homicides. From 1980 until 1988, he was an public defender for Orange County and served as the supervisor of the Writs and Appeals Department and the Homicide Panel. From 1988 to 1989, Aronson senior staff attorney at the California Courts of Appeal[1].
Judicial career
California Courts of Appeal
Judge Aronson was appointed to the Fourth District of the California Courts of Appeal Division Three by Governor Gray Davis and confirmed by the California Commission on Judicial Appointments on November 23, 2001 [1].
California Superior Courts
From June 1989 to March 1996, Aronson was a superior court commissioner which he was appointed by the judges of the Orange County Superior Court. In 1991, he became the first commissioner to receive a trial court assignment and served on the Felony Criminal Panel until 1996 when he began his career with the California Courts of Appeal[1].
