Richard M. Duncan (1889-1974) was a federal judge on the Western and the Eastern District Courts of Missouri.
Duncan was nominated simultaneously to both courts by President Franklin Delano Roosevelt on July 8, 1943, to a new seat created by 56 Stat. 1083; he was confirmed by the Senate on July 8, 1943, and received commission on July 14. He served as chief judge of the Western District 1954-1959. He assumed senior status on both courts on May 31, 1965, and served them in that capacity until his death on August 1, 1974. Duncan was succeeded in this position by William Collinson.
