Rick Strange is a judge on the Texas Eleventh District Court of Appeals. Governor Perry appointed him to this position in October of 2005.[1] His current term ends on December 31, 2014.[2]
Supreme Court bid

Strange has announced that he will run for a seat on the Texas Supreme Court in 2010. He is running for place 3 on the Court, which is currently held by Justice Harriet O'Neill, who is not seeking re-election. [3][4][5]
Biography
Justice Strange grew up in Floydada, Texas. He received his B.B.A. in Accounting from Hardin-Simmons University and his law degree from the University of Texas Law School in 1985. He is now married and has two daughters.[1]
Legal career
Justice Strange began his legal career in 1985 with the firm Cotton, Bledsoe, Tighe and Dawson. He worked with this firm until his appointment to the Court of Appeals in 2005. He became a partner in 1991, and later headed the litigation section. He is certified in civil trial law and oil, gas, and mineral law.[1]
