Robert Tehan

Robert Emmet Tehan (1905-1975) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin.
Tehan was nominated by President Harry Truman on April 5, 1949, to a seat vacated by Francis Duffy; he was confirmed by the Senate on May 17, 1949, and received his commission on May 19, 1949. From 1954-1971, he served as the chief judge. He assumed senior status on June 30, 1971. He served the Eastern District of Wisconsin until his death on November 27, 1975.
