Robert William Hughes

Robert William Hughes (1821-1901) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.
He was nominated by President Ulysses Grant on December 15, 1873. He was confirmed by the Senate on January 14, 1874, and received commission that same day. He retired on February 22, 1898.
