Roberto Rivera-Soto

Roberto Rivera-Soto is a justice of the New Jersey Supreme Court. He was appointed to the court by Jim McGreevey, a Democratic governor, on April 20, 2004 and took office on September 1, 2004[1]. His current term expires in 2011.[2]
Biography
Justice Rivera-Soto was born in New York City on November 10, 1953. He grew up in Puerto Rico and graduated from Haverford College in 1974. He received his J.D. degree in 1977 from Cornell University School of Law. He is now married and has three sons.[1]
Legal career
Justice Rivera-Soto interned at the Office of the District Attorney of Delaware County, Pennsylvania in 1977. From 1978 to 1980, he worked as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Criminal Division of the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. He then worked for Fox Rothschild as a litigation associate until 1983. He then worked as senior vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary of Caesars World, Inc. and as vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary of Greate Bay Hotel and Casino, Inc. before returning to Fox Rothschild LLP as a partner. He was then appointed to the Supreme Court in 2004.[1]
