Ronald Cox is a Division 1 judge in the Washington Court of Appeals. He was elected to this position in 1994 and took office in January of 1995. He has served as Chief Judge of Division 1 and Presiding Chief Judge of the Court of Appeals. [1] He was retained by voters in 2000, 2006 and 2012. His current term ends in 2018. [2] [3]
Education
Cox graduated from the West Point U.S. Military Academy in New York. He then served in the Army in Germany, Vietnam and the U.S. He received his law degree from the University of Washington School of Law.[1]
Legal career
Judge Cox worked as a partner of the law firm Preston, Gates & Ellis LLP before he was elected to the Court of Appeals in 1994.[1]
