Samuel Freeman Miller (1816-1890) was an Associate Justice on the Supreme Court of the United States. He joined the court in 1862 after a nomination from Abraham Lincoln. At the time of the appointment, Miller was a private practice attorney. He served until his death on October 13, 1890.[1]

He was nominated by President Abraham Lincoln on July 16, 1862 to the seat vacated by Peter Vivian Daniel. He was confirmed by the Senate on July 16, 1862, and received commission that same day. He served until his death on October 13, 1890.[1] He was succeeded to this post by Henry Billings Brown.
