Sandra L. Margulies is a judge on the First District, Division One of the California Courts of Appeal. Margulies joined the court on January 25, 2002 as an Associate Justice and her current term expires on January 7, 2019.[1]
Education
Justice Margulies earned her B.A. in 1974 from the University of California at Los Angeles, and her J.D. 1977 in from the Southwestern University School of Law. [2]
Legal career
From 1977-1985, Margulies served as Deputy District Attorney for Alameda County, California. From 1985-1988, she was a judge in the San Leandro-Hayward Judicial District, and from 1988-2002, she was a judge for the Alameda County Superior Court. In January 2002 Margulies joined the First District Appellate Court as an Associate Justice. [2]
