Seventh Judicial District vacancy announced by Commission on Judicial Selection
Saint Paul, Minnesota: The Commission on Judicial Selection has announced that there will be a vacancy occurring in the Seventh Judicial District Court. The vacancy is due to Honorable Judge Skipper Pearson, who is now retiring and will be leaving his position at Milaca in the county of Mille Lacs in the Seventh Judicial District.
Judge Skipper Pearson was appointed to his position as district judge in 1990, and has since then been elected to full terms in 1992, 1998, 2004 and 2010. His current term was due to end in January of 2017.
The Commission is now searching for experienced, as well as fair and civic-minded individuals who will be willing to serve on the bench and offer their talents and services to the judicial system of Minnesota. The following qualities that are also being considered in these individuals include: integrity, maturity, legal knowledge, judicial temperament, ability, and community service just to name a few.
