Sharon A.S. Illsley is a district court judge for the Third Judicial District in Kenai, Alaska.[1] Illsley was appointed on June 14, 2007 by Governor Sarah Palin.[2]
Education
Judge Illsley earned her Bachelor of Arts with Distinction from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 1979. She went on to earn her Juris Doctor in 1981 from the University of Colorado School of Law. [3]
Career
Sharon worked with Keene, Munsinger & Stuckey as an Associate Attorney from 1982 to 1984. She worked for the Jefferson County District Attorney's Office from 1984 to 1990 when she began work with the State of Alaska Department of Law where she worked as a prosecutor until 1997. [3]
2010 election
Illsley was retained in 2010.[4] The Alaska Judicial Council supported her retention.[5] [6] She is up for retention again in 2016.
