Sidney Christie

Sidney Lee Christie (1903-1974) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia and the United States District Court for the Northern District of West Virginia.
Christie was nominated simultaneously to seats on the Southern and Northern Districts of West Virginia by President Lyndon Johnson on April 15, 1964, to a seat vacated by Harry Watkins; he was confirmed to both courts by the Senate on April 30, 1964, and received commission on May 1. He served a stint as chief judge of the Southern District from 1971-1973. He served both courts until his death on February 15, 1974.
