Sioux County is within the South Central Judicial District. The people of Sioux County are served by a District Court.

The United States District Court for the District of North Dakota has jurisdiction in Sioux County. Appeals from the District of North Dakota go to the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit.
