Stanley Forman Reed

Stanley Forman Reed (1884-1980) was an Associate Justice on the Supreme Court of the United States. He was nominated by President Franklin D. Roosevelt on January 15, 1938 to replace George Sutherland. He was confirmed by the Senate on January 25th, and received commission on January 27th. On February 25, 1957, he assumed senior status and continued to serve in this capacity until his death on April 2, 1980.[1]
