Stephen L. Williams is one of three lawyer members of the Indiana Judicial Nominating and Qualifications Commission an organization charged to select Supreme Court Justices and other judicial vacancies and adminster discipline on judges in the Indiana Judiciary.

Background

Stephen L. Williams is a personal injury attorney with the Mann Law Firm in Terre Haute. Williams handles cases in Complex Litigation, Personal Injury, Products Liability, Medical Malpractice, Business Litigation, and Airplane Crashes. Williams is licensed in the Indiana and Illinois State Bar Associations, and is also licensed in the Northern and Southern Indiana Districts of the US District Court, the 7th Circuit of the US Court of Appeals, and the US Supreme Court.

Judicial Qualifications and Nominating Commission

Williams was appointed by Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels to fill a three year term on the Indiana Judicial Nominating Commission effective January 1, 2007 and expiring effective December 31, 2009. Williams replaced James O. McDonald of Terre Haute to fill this vacancy.
