Susan B. Carbon is a justice for the circuit courts in New Hampshire. She was nominated by Governor Maggie Hassan. Carbon was recommended to Hassan by the Governor's Judicial Selection Committee and confirmed by the Executive Council on December 20, 2013, on a vote of 3-1.[1] Carbon may serve until she reaches the mandatory retirement age of 70.[2]


Carbon earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin in 1974, and her J.D. from DePaul University School of Law in 1980.[3]
