Susan E. Beebe is a judge for the 4th Circuit Court in Jackson County, Michigan. She was appointed by Gov. Granholm on March 26, 2008 to replace former Judge Edward Grant.[1][2] She was re-elected on November 2, 2010 to a 6 year term that ends on January 1, 2017.[3][4]

Education

Beebe received her bachelor's degree in Humanities and Pre-Law from Michigan State University in 1997 and her law degree from Michigan State University College of Law in 2001.[1][2]

Legal career

Beebe began her career (after receiving her bachelor's degree) as a legal advocate for AWARE Inc., which provided services for abused women and children. She worked in that position in 1997 and 1998. After graduating from law school in 2001, she became an assistant Jackson County prosecutor. She was then appointed to the Circuit Court in 2008.[2]

2010 election

Beebe was re-elected, along with Judge Chad Schmucker, in the general election on November 2, 2010. She received 49.7% of the vote.[3]
