Education
Bass received her B.A. degree (Political Science) from Emory University and her J.D. degree from the University of Richmond.[3]
Career
Bass began her career as an Assistant Public Defender under Mil Thomas. After three years, she became an Assistant State Attorney under Ed Austin, a position which she also held for three years. She was also employed by the Florida Coastal School of Law as an Adjunct Professor for a year and a half. Since 1984, she has worked as a self-employed private practice attorney.[3]
2012 election
Bass defeated incumbent Judge John Merrett with 59.2% of the vote in the primary on Aug. 14, 2012.[2][4]
