Tangela Barrie is a judge of the Stone Mountain Circuit of Georgia.[1] Barrie was first elected in 2008, and her current term expires in 2016.
Education
Barrie received her undergraduate degree from Albany State College and her J.D. from Stetson University; she was admitted to the bar in 1999.[2]
Career
After graduating from law school, Barrie served as a law clerk for a federal judge in Florida. After this position, she spent three years working in private practice in civil and administrative law. Directly before joining the superior court, Barrie served as an assistant district attorney in the DeKalb County District Attorney's Office.[3]

Barrie ran unopposed for re-election to the Stone Mountain Superior Court.[4] She was re-elected after receiving 99.6% of the vote in the July 31 election.[5]
