Tennessee: The Tennessee Court of Appeals has upheld the ruling of a lower trial court, Frontiersman and early American Hero Davy Corcket's unexecuted marriage licence must be returned to Jefferson County, Tennessee where it was issued in 1805. The original licence was to marry Margret Elder and Davy Crocket, it was in the possession of Margaret Vance Smith who claimed a relative saved the document from destruction years ago. Smith had turned over the record to the court following the ruling in favor of the counrty last year. [1]
