Terry O'Rourke

Terry B. O'Rourke is an associate justice on the Fourth District, Division One of the California Courts of Appeal. He was appointed by Governor Wilson and, after his confirmation, took the oath of office on December 7, 1998. He was retained by voters on November 5, 2002.[1]
Biography
Terry O'Rourke was born in 1947. He graduated from Claremont McKenna College in 1969, then went on to law school at Harvard. He graduated from there in 1972.[2]
Legal career
Terry O'Rourke began his legal career as a private practice attorney in 1973. He worked as an attorney in San Diego and Los Angeles until 1984, when he was appointed to the Los Angeles Superior Court by Governor Deukmejian. In 1987, he was moved to the San Diego Superior Court, where he worked until his appointment to the Court of Appeals.[2]
