Terry Rickers is a judge on the Fifth District of Iowa. He was appointed on September 19, 2010 to replace retiring Judge Peter A. Keller.[1][2] His current term expires in 2018.

Education

Rickers received his undergraduate degree from Iowa State University in 1983 and his law degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1986.[1]

Career

Rickers worked as a private practice lawyer in Newton, Iowa since graduating from law school in 1986. In 2005, Rickers was appointed a magistrate of the Fifth District. He served in this position until becoming a judge in 2010.[1]

2012 election

Rickers was retained in the general election on November 6, winning 74.36% of the vote.[3][4]
