Thomas E. Hollenhorst is a judge on the Fourth District, Division Two of the California Courts of Appeal. He was appointed by Governor Deukmejian and, after his confirmation, took the oath of office on August 26, 1988. He was retained by voters on the November 5, 2002 election.[1]

Biography

Thomas Hollenhorst was born on November 3, 1946 in Saint Cloud, Minnesota. He received his bachelor's degree from San Jose State in 1968 and his law degree (J.D.) from Hastings in 1971. He later attended the University of Virginia and received his master's degree (L.L.M.) in 1995. He is married with two grown children.[2][3]

Legal career

Thomas Hollenhorst worked in the Riverside County District Attorney's office from 1972 to 1981. While he was there, he held the positions of acting district attorney, assistant district attorney and deputy district attorney. He was then appointed to the Riverside Municipal Court, where he worked until his appointment to the Superior Court.[2][3]
