Thomas Francis Murphy (1905-1995) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.

Murphy was nominated by President Harry Truman on June 11, 1951, to a seat vacated by Harold Medina; he was confirmed by the Senate on June 29, 1951, and received his commission on July 2nd. Murphy was succeeded in this position by Murray Gurfein. He assumed senior status on December 3, 1970, and served in that capacity until his death on October 26, 1995.[1]
