Thomas N. Bower is a judge of the Iowa Court of Appeals. He was appointed to the court by Governor Terry Branstad in 2011 to a term that expires in 2014. [1]
Education
Bower received his undergraduate degree in 1984 from Illinois State University and his law degree in 1987 from Drake University.[2]
Career
Bower served as an assistant attorney in Black Hawk County and an assistant city attorney before joining the bench in 1993. [3][2] That year, he was appointed to the District One Court, as an Associate District Judge. In 1995, he became a District Judge, and became Chief Judge in 2010. He served in this position until his appointment to the Court of Appeals. [4] [5] [2]
