Thomas Collier Platt, Jr. (1925-present) is a federal judge for the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York.
Platt was nominated by President Richard Nixon on January 31, 1974, to a seat vacated by George Rosling; he was confirmed by the Senate on March 1, 1974, and received commission on March 8, 1974. From 1988-1995, he served as the chief judge. He assumed senior status on February 1, 2001. Platt was succeeded in this position by Sandra Feuerstein. [1]
