Timothy A. Reardon is a judge on the First District, Fourth Division of the California Courts of Appeal. He was appointed by then-Governor Deukmejian, and took his oath on August 20, 1990. He was retained by the voters in 1994. [1] Reardon was retained again in 2010.
Education
Reardon earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame in 1963, and his law degree from Hastings College of the Law in 1966. [2]
Legal career
Justice Reardon served as a Deputy Attorney General and Senior Assistant Attorney General for the California Department of Justice as an attorney. He also served as a Deputy District Attorney for Alameda County, and as a Special Assistant United States Attorney for the Northern District of California.
Justice Reardon's previous judicial experience includes an appointment to the San Francisco Municipal Court in 1983, the San Francisco Superior Court in 1985, and his current appointment to the Court of Appeals. [2]
