Treadwell confirmed to federal court in Georgia
Georgia: The U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Georgia will have a new judge. Marc Thomas Treadwell was confirmed, with a vote of 89-0, by the Senate on June 20. He is joining the court to fill the vacancy created when Hugh Lawson took senior status.
About the vote, Treadwell remarked, "“I’m very much looking forward to serving the people and residents of Middle Georgia.”
Prior to joining the court, Treadwell was a partner with the firm Adams, Jordan & Treadwell. He also teach law classes at Mercer University's Walter F. George School of Law.
