Ty Cheung Gee

Ty Gee is one of seven laywer members of the Colorado Supreme Court Nominating Commission an organization charged in selecting new supreme court justices and performance review and retention. Gee's membership represents Colorado's 2nd Congressional District covering the North Denver suburbs and Boulder.

Background
Gee is an attorney for the Denver based law firm of Haddon, Morgan, Mueller, Jordan Mackey, and Foreman LLP. Gee specializes his practice in criminal and civil litigation and also in appealate cases. Gee is also an attorney with the Colorado Chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union [1]. Gee was also an attorney of counsel to convicted Oklahoma City Bomber Terry Lynn Nichols in 1998 [2]. Gee has ties to the Colorado Supreme Court as a Law Clerk to Chief Justice Luis D. Rovira from 1990-1991 and Justice Anthony F. Vollack, Colorado Supreme Court from 1989-1990. Gee started his legal career as a Staff Attorney for Legal Aid Society of Milwaukee, Inc. from 1988-1990.

Personal
Gee earned his Bachelor's Degree from the University of Illinois in Urbana in 1985. Gee earned his juris doctorate degree from Marquette University in Milwaukee in 1988. While at law school at Marquette Gee was a Law Intern for Wisconsin Supreme Court Cheif Justice Shirley Abrahamson from 1987 to 1988 and also served as a Staff Member on the Marquette Law Review.
