Biography and Education
Boyer was born in Jacksonville, FL on August 2, 1948. He received his B.S. degree from the University of Florida in 1972 and his law degree from the University of Florida School of Law in 1976.[3]
Career
Boyer began his career as an assistant public defender for Duval County (from 1976 to 1977). He then worked as an associate of the law firm of Mathews, Osborne, Ehrlich, McNatt, Gobelman & Cobb until 1979, when he became a partner of Boyer, Tanzler & Boyer. He worked in that capacity until 2001. Before joining the Circuit Court, he spent ten years as a judge on the Duval County Court, Division G, following his appointment to that position in 2000. Since that year, Boyer has also been an adjunct professor for the Florida Coastal School of Law. [1][3]
