The United States Circuit Court for the Eastern District of Illinois was established on March 3, 1905, simultaneously with the creation of the District Court for the Eastern District of Illinois from parts of the Northern and Southern Districts, and was abolished on March 3, 1911, with the rest of the circuit court system[1].
