United States District Court for the District of Missouri

The United States District Court for the District of Missouri was established by Congress in 1822[1]. In 1857, Missouri was divided into Eastern and Western Districts with separate judgeships, and Robert William Wells, the last judge of the District of Missouri, was reassigned to the Western District at that time[1],[2].
