Victor Howard

Victor C. Howard is currently a judge serving on the Western District of the Missouri Court of Appeals. He was appointed to this position on September 30, 1996 and retained by voters in 1998. From June of 2006 to June of 2008, he was the chief judge. His term expires on December 31, 2010.[1]

Biography

Judge Howard was born in Kansas City. He received his B.S. degree from Central Missouri State University in 1973 and his J.D. degree from the University of Missouri at Kansas City in 1976. He is the father of three sons.[1]

Legal career

Judge Howard began his legal career in 1977 as a law clerk to Judge William Marsh of the Jackson County Circuit Court. He then worked as a deputy county counselor in Clay County from 1977 to 1991. After this, he ran a private practice until 1993, when he was appointed Clay County Circuit Judge. He held this position until his appointment to the Court of Appeals in 1996.[1]
