Virginia C. Kelly is a judge on the Arizona Court of Appeals, Division Two. She was appointed to the court in 2009 by Governor Brewer. [1]
Education
Kelly earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Arizona in 1968 and her law degree from the University of Arizona College of Law in 1990. She earned a master's in Communication and Public Address from the University of Wisconsin in 1969. [1]
Professional career
Judge Kelly has worked in the educational field as a teacher in the Glendale Unified School District, Sunnyside Unified School District, Pima Community College and Young Education Systems. Kelly served seven years as the Deputy Chief for the Appellate Section at the U.S. Attorney’s Office. She also worked with the firm Gust Rosenfeld. [1] Kelly served as a civil judge on the Pima County Superior Court from 2002 until her appointment to the Court of Appeals. [2]
