The Virginia judicial elections take place over multiple dates, as the legislature chooses justices and judges to fill vacancies.
July 29
On Friday, July 29, the Virginia Legislature unanimously elected Cleo Powell and Elizabeth A. McClanahan to the Virginia Supreme Court. Also elected without opposition were Stephen R. McCullough and Glen Huff to the Virginia Court of Appeals seats left vacant by the justices elected to the high court. [1]
