Walter J. LaBuy (1888-1967) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.

LaBuy was nominated by President Franklin Delano Roosevelt on March 7, 1944, to a seat vacated by William Harrison Holly; Confirmed by the Senate on March 29, 1944, and received commission on March 31, 1944. He assumed senior status on January 31, 1961. He served the Northern District of Illinois until his death on September 29, 1967.[1] LaBuy was succeeded in this position by Richard Austin.
